The Board of General Superintendents has announced the appointment of Dr. Larry W. Leonard to the office of district superintendent of the Tennessee District. Leonard fills the vacancy left when Robert Broadbooks, current district superintendent, was elected as director of USA/Canada Mission/Evangelism.

The action was taken by General Superintendent Nina G. Gunter with approval by the Board of General Superintendents and in consultation with the Tennessee District Advisory Council. The appointment will be effective January 1, 2009.

Leonard and his wife, Gay, currently reside in Bartow, Florida. Larry serves as pastor of the nearby Lakeland Highland Park Church of the Nazarene.
