Bill serves as the Assistant District Superintendent with primary responsibility for NewStart, Church Health and Construction.  He served in a similar capacity in North Alabama for 15 years, the last six and one half years under Dr. Broadbooks.  Shortly after being elected DS in Tennessee, Dr. Broadbooks invited Bill to join the District team in Tennessee.

Bill has a BSEE degree from Johns Hopkins University, a certificate in Marketing Management from Columbia Graduate School of Business, an MDiv from Nazarene Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary with a concentration in Church Growth.

Bill was a product group manager for an electronics company in Southern California when he was saved and called to preach at the age of 26 under the ministry of Wallace Renegar at the altar of the Bellflower Church of the Nazarene.

Bill is the founding pastor of  four Nazarene churches: Hayden Faith, Rogersville First, Huntsville Southeast on the Alabama North District and Westchester Chapel on the New York District.

Beginning in 1980, Bill has been involved in the start of 45 churches in New York, California, Alabama and Tennessee as founding pastor, sponsoring pastor or coach. 31 of those churches are active today.

Bill has three children; William in Alabama,  Jon-David in San Diego, and Dori who lives in Tennessee.   Dori is the wife of  Lang Ingram who pastors the Fulton First Church of the Nazarene on the Tennessee District.

Bill married the former Sharon Elder of Madison, Tennessee in November 2004 after his first wife died as a result of a traumatic brain injury due to an automobile accident that left her in a vegetative state for 13 years.

Sharon has been a pharmacist for more than 20 years.  She recently changed to part time at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville in order to assist in the district office and to be able to travel with Bill to the district churches.  Sharon has two children, Alison in Nevada and Drew in Madison.
