Dr. Bob Broadbooks is a graduate of Mid-America Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary. While attending MNU, he met Carol Powers and they were married in 1975. Carol also graduated from MNU with a degree in Elementary Education. In 2000, MNU presented Dr. Broadbooks with an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree. The Broadbooks pastored for twenty years and served churches in Colorado, Kansas and Florida. In 1996 Dr. Broadbooks was elected Superintendent of the Alabama North District and served there until February 1, 2002, at which time he became Superintendent of the Tennessee District.
Bob and Carol have two children, Keely and Lincoln. Keely graduated from TNU and is married to Matthew Mullins. Keely and Matthew have a son Maxwell and live in Old Hickory. Lincoln graduated from MNU is married to Danielle. They live in Olathe, Kansas.
Dr. Broadbooks is the author of From Pastor to Pastor-Letters of Encouragement and Wisdom. At the advice of Evangelist Bob Hoots, Dr. Broadbooks decided he needed a serious hobby, and he has just that - collecting tall round pyroglazed milk bottles from the 1930's and 40's. Carol collects old hat pins and crystal color Cambridge Caprice dishes from the 1930's.
